Shortcut sausage lasagna bowls
- 12 oz pork sausage
- 1 ¾ tsp garlic powder
- ¾ tsp italian seasoning
- 1 cup ricotta
- ½ yellow bell pepper
- 1 ⅓ cups tomato pasta sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
In a skillet over medium-high heat, add pork sausage (removed from casing) and cook, breaking up the meat into small pieces with a spatula until lightly browned, about 8 minutes.
In a medium bowl, mix together garlic powder, italian seasoning, ricotta, and salt and pepper to taste. De-seed and dice yellow bell pepper.
In a microwave-safe bowl, layer cooked pork sausage, tomato sauce, yellow bell pepper and ricotta. Top with shredded mozzarella.
Microwave 2 to 3 minutes, until cheese is melted and center is hot. Let stand 1 minute before serving.
